Terez Leggings Compared 2026: TLC vs Hi-Shine vs DuoKnit vs Action

Three people walk into the same studio. One is here for a 7 a.m. spin class and will be drenched in twenty minutes. One is about to load a barbell for squats. The third is mostly here for the smoothie bar and a long walk home. If all three wear the same leggings, at least two of them will be annoyed. Terez solves that by making four distinct legging fabrics — and the names tell you very little until you see the specs.
This comparison lines up TLC, Hi-Shine, DuoKnit and Action using Terez's own fabric guide, product pages and October 2026 U.S. prices.

TLC: For the Days Comfort Wins
Terez calls TLC "one of our favorites (and yours!)" and says it's great for lounging, though "tbh we wear ours all day long" for light workouts, errands and working from home. The big detail is the 4.5" super-high, elastic-free waistband, which Terez says provides smoothing with extra coverage. TLC Leggings have a 25½" inseam and a 9¾" leg opening.
Choose it if: you want something you'll forget you're wearing. Variations include the TLC V Waistband Legging ($100) with a V-shaped waistband and the TLC Piping Stripe Legging ($116) in colorblocks like Lagoon. The TLC Leggings in Collegiate Gray ($94) run from XXS to 3X. Care is simple: machine wash cold, lay flat to dry.
Hi-Shine: For Sweat and Color
Hi-Shine is one of Terez's oldest fabrics, and the brand describes it as ultra sweat-wicking and quick-drying with medium compression. It's also the fabric Terez prints on — python, painted leopard, floral painting and more. The Hi-Shine Leggings have a mid rise, a 29" full-length inseam and a 3" tall band for comfortable compression at the waist.
Choose it if: your workouts are hot and fast. Terez lists spinning, hot yoga and running. Turn them inside out to wash cold, and lay flat to dry.

DuoKnit: For Squats and Strength Days
DuoKnit is made with two layers of fabric to minimize sheerness, and Terez says the leggings "pass the Squat Test with flying colors." The product page describes it as squat proof with high compression, a flattering high rise, a 29" inseam and a 4.5" super-high band for smoothing compression at the waist.
Choose it if: you lift, lunge or do HIIT — Terez says it's suited to "strength training, HIIT — or your average packed Saturday." It's the priciest of the four, at $138 to $148 in the styles we checked.
Action: For Maximum Hold
Terez calls Action "the performance fabric of your dreams": highly compressive, with a sleek finish and great recovery, made for weekly wear. Unlike the other three, Action uses nylon/spandex. The Action Booty Short ($75) we checked has a 5.5" inseam, an interior pocket, seamless hems and a 4.5" super-high band for high compression.
Choose it if: you like a locked-in feel and a sleek look. Care is a little stricter: wash cold with like colors, no bleach or softener, lay flat to dry.
