TaylorMade Golf Review 2026: Custom Clubs, Trade-In Credit and a Ghostbusters Drop

It's 7:40 on a cold October morning. The grass is still silver with dew, your breath hangs in the air for a second, and the first tee is waiting. You zip a hoodie up to your chin, pull a fresh glove tight, and drop a ball on the peg. Everything in your hands that morning, from the driver to the ball to the layer keeping you warm, can come from one place: TaylorMade Golf.

TaylorMade is one of the biggest names in golf equipment, and its own store sells far more than clubs. We went through TaylorMade's site, help center, prices and policies in October 2026 to show you what's in the lineup, which pieces suit which golfer, and how to spend less on your next order.

The Story: A Club Maker That Lives on Tour

TaylorMade has been building golf clubs since 1979, and today the company sells drivers, fairways, rescues, irons, wedges, putters, TP5/TP5x golf balls, bags, gloves, headwear and apparel from TaylorMadeGolf.com. Its Tour roster reads like a leaderboard: the site features Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa, Nelly Korda, Brooke Henderson and Charley Hull.

Its Clubhouse section sums up Team TaylorMade's 2026 PGA TOUR season as "seven wins, a victory in Augusta, a FedEx Cup," and TaylorMade says its Qi4D clubs were designed with input from Tour players. For you, that means the club families you see on TV are in the online shop, ready to be built to your specs.

What Makes It Different: Built Around Your Swing

Lots of golf shops sell you a club off the rack. TaylorMade goes further, so you can get something that fits the way you actually swing:

  • Custom builds: TaylorMade says you can choose from thousands of club components, grips, heads and shafts, assembled by experienced club builders. So your driver can match your height, tempo and grip size instead of a showroom average.
  • Online fitting tools: an AI fitting tool, an "Ask AI Chip" assistant, plus Driver, Irons, Wedge and TP5/TP5x Ball selectors. Handy if there's no fitting bay near you.
  • Personalization: MySpider putters, MyMG5 and MyHi-Toe 5 wedges, and custom golf balls let you add your own colors, stamps and text.
  • Trade-In: send in eligible old clubs and put the credit toward new ones, with values based on the PGA Value Guide.
  • Licensed gear: NFL and collegiate headcovers, balls and accessories, so you can rep your team on the course.

Right now the site is also running two fun limited drops: a TaylorMade x Ghostbusters Collection and a Halloween collection with eight spooky-season TP5/TP5x ball designs.

Stock club or custom build?

Been fitted, or know your numbers? Go custom and pick head, shaft, grip and specs. Just know custom clubs can't be returned once the order is processed. Not sure yet? Try the AI fitting tool or an in-person fitting first, or buy stock, which sits inside the 30-day return window.

TP5 or TP5x?

They're the two versions of TaylorMade's TP5 family, and the site has a TP5/TP5x selector tool to help you choose. Answer a few questions and it points you to one, so you aren't guessing at the register. The Ghostbusters and Halloween boxes come in both versions.

Apparel for the cold months

TaylorMade's fall push is about layers. The brand says its TaylorMade by Sun Day Red apparel is "crafted for warmth, performance and style," while its Core Modern collection focuses on lightweight comfort and the Heritage pieces bring a classic look. Add hoodies, quarter-zips, outerwear, polos and shorts, and you can dress for a frosty 7 a.m. tee time and still be comfortable when the sun comes out on the back nine.

  1. Create a free account first. TaylorMade says your first 150 Loyalty Points (equal to $5) are on the house, and opting in to its emails earns another 100 points.

TaylorMade FAQ

Can I return a TaylorMade club?

Stock items, yes, within 30 days via the Returns & Exchanges portal. Custom, personalized, final sale and online-exclusive items can't be returned.

How does the Trade-In program work?

You pick your old club from the trade-in list to get a value, which TaylorMade bases on the PGA Value Guide. Wait until your new clubs arrive, then send the old ones in. Damaged, altered or heavily worn clubs may get a lower value or be refused, and iron sets need at least 5 consecutive clubs including a pitching wedge.

How long is the warranty?

Two years from the original purchase date on golf clubs and one year on golf bags, covering defects in materials and workmanship. Other accessories vary by category.

Do I need a fitting before I buy?

Not necessarily. TaylorMade recommends an in-person fitting, but its AI fitting tool and club selectors work online. Unsure? Stick to stock clubs, which fall inside the return window.

Our Verdict

TaylorMade gives you the whole round in one cart: Tour-played club families you can build to your own specs, TP5/TP5x balls, bags, gloves and warm fall layers. The Trade-In program and loyalty points take the sting out of a big upgrade, and the 2-year club warranty adds peace of mind. Just remember custom builds are final, so use the fitting tools first. Check our TaylorMade deals page before you order so you don't miss the current offer.
