Séance Buying Guide 2026: Build a Home Practice Space Under $75, $150 or $300

You don't need a spare room to have a practice space. You need a rug you're happy to unroll, something to rest your knees or spine on, a block for when the floor feels far away, and maybe a candle that tells your brain "this is the part of the day that's mine." Séance sells exactly those pieces, from a $12 box of scented matches to a $295 sheepskin rug.
So which ones should you actually buy, and in what order? SweatproofGear went through every Séance product listing in October 2026 and built this buying guide around three budgets, plus a piece-by-piece look at what each item is made of and who it suits.
Budget 1: Under $75 — The Starter Kit
If you already own a mat, start with the small props that change how a session feels:
- Cork Block, $20 — 8.75 × 4.75 × 3 in, rounded edges, 100% natural cork. The brand describes it as "bringing the floor to meet you."
- Standard Fascia Balls, $25 — a set of two 2.5 in silicone balls in Silver Green.
- Small Fascia Balls, $20 — a set of two 2.2 in balls in Blush Pink.
Total: $65. Prefer one rolling tool for bigger areas? Swap the small balls for the Cork Roller ($30), 18 × 4 × 4 in, also natural cork.
Budget 2: Around $150 — The Complete Corner
This is where the Practice Foundation Set makes the most sense. At $150 (was $175) it includes:
| Piece | Single price | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Handwoven Cotton Practice Rug | $85 | 78 × 37 in, organic cotton with textured ridges, made in India |
| Small Practice Bolster | $50 | 25 × 6 × 4 in, buckwheat husks, organic cotton cover, leather handle |
| Cork Block | $20 | 8.75 × 4.75 × 3 in, natural cork |
| Handwoven Cotton Basket | $20 | 8 × 8 × 8 in, organic cotton with leather label |
It also clears the $100 free-shipping line on its own and comes with 7 days free in the Séance app. If you'd rather build it yourself, note that the rug on its own already includes a complimentary Practice Basket.

Budget 3: Around $300 — Practice Plus Ritual
Add release tools and scent to the foundation:
- Practice Foundation Set — $150
- Fascia Release Set — $90 (was $100): two Standard balls, two Small balls, one Double ball, the Cork Roller and a canvas carry bag
- SENSE Candle in Glass — $45, soy wax, about 60 burn hours
Total: $285 for a full corner, a complete set of release tools and a candle. For the splurge version, the Sheepskin Practice Rug ($295) and Standard Practice Bolster ($80) turn the corner into somewhere you'll want to lie down for a long time.
Choosing Your Base: Rug, Blanket or Sheepskin?
| Cotton Practice Rug | Practice Blanket | Sheepskin Rug | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $85 | $65 | $295 |
| Size | 78 × 37 in | 77 × 38 in | 72 × 24 in |
| Material | 100% organic cotton, textured ridges | 100% natural-dyed cotton, lightweight | 100% natural sheepskin |
| Made in | India | Morocco | Australia |
| Best for | An everyday base at home | Travel and practice on the go | Restorative, slow sessions |
The rug's ridges give your hands and feet a texture to feel, the blanket folds small enough to pack, and the sheepskin is full body length for lying down. If you only buy one, the rug is the most versatile.
Choosing a Bolster Size
Séance makes two: the Standard ($80, 25 × 12 × 6 in), which the brand says supports supine and open postures, and the Small ($50, 25 × 6 × 4 in), designed to add comfort beneath the knees, ribs or sacrum. Both are filled with what the brand calls "supportive buckwheat husks" and finished with a padded organic cotton cover and leather handles. The Small comes in the Foundation Set, so you can add the Standard later if you find yourself wanting more height.

Release Tools: Which Fascia Ball?
- Standard (Silver Green), $25: two 2.5 in balls — the all-rounder.
- Small (Blush Pink), $20: two 2.2 in balls for smaller, more precise spots.
- Double (Marsala Red), $25: one 5 × 2.5 × 2.5 in peanut shape.
All three are 100% silicone. Buying all three separately costs $70; the Fascia Ball Set is $63. Add the Cork Roller and a carry bag and it becomes the Fascia Release Set at $90.
Extras Worth Knowing About
Flow Rope, $65
A black rPET rope (made in the EU) with Canadian white oak handles (milled in the USA), designed for smooth rotation in rhythmic, cross-lateral practices. It's the most unusual item in the shop and a good pick if you like coordination work.
Sensory Stone, $30
A hand-carved stone to hold during practice or reflection, in Menia limestone, Perla limestone or white onyx (the onyx was out of stock when we checked).
The SENSE scent line
One signature blend (cucumber, peppermint, eucalyptus, juniperberry, cedarwood, clary sage, acacia, violet leaf and galbanum) runs through the Candle in Glass ($45), stone-cased candles ($95), diffusers ($85), a 10 ml Activation Fragrance Oil rollerball ($30) and scented aspen matches ($12). The stone candle holders are refillable with the glass candle, so the $95 vessel is a one-time buy.

- Natural variation: stone holders and diffusers are hand-carved, so each piece varies in color, tone and shade. The volcanic stone pieces may have traces of volcanic ash in the packaging.
- Shipping: free over $100, by ground in about 5–7 days. International shipping is listed as coming soon.
- Returns: unused items with tags or box packaging. The FAQ says 15 days, the refund policy page says 30, so plan on 15. Sale items, gift cards and personal care goods aren't returnable.
